19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev won his initial championship for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult period, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in particular - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, he has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court after spring of the previous year.
Victory also signifies the Russian has achieved 21 titles at 21 different tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my children at once, so to win a championship is really nice," commented world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in honour of my child her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six finals, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
The player's retrieving approach and recurring reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to question if his ability to perform at the top level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete assertively, backed up by an improved serving game.
He fought back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Moutet, winning 4 of the concluding five games to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first tour title, took control to force a third set.
Moutet saved four initial break points in a tight deciding set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev secured the win with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman unable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
